Located in the heart of downtown Cincinnati, Ohio, is the beautiful and historic Pendleton Art Center. The Art Center showcases over 200 local artist studios and their work.
The Center’s complex in Cincinnati is divided into four different buildings.
Although the primary location is in the heart of downtown Cincinnati, in Over-The-Rhine, there are two other locations. One being in Middletown, Ohio, and the other in Rising Sun, Indiana.
The center’s purpose is to encourage and nurture artist creativity in Cincinnati by providing support and inspiration for all kinds of art.
They offer art exhibitions, educational programs, and events to raise public awareness and an appreciation for the arts! There are events for all ages and any type of artist.
The Galleries Inside Pendleton Art Center
Within the eight floors and countless studios, the building features almost every art medium known.
From glasswork to watercolor, oil painting to woodwork, sculptures, and mural wall carvings, there is an art for everyone, and you’re sure to find something to pique your interests.
Upcoming Final Friday Events
The Pendleton Art Center features a monthly event known as Final Friday. Each set of events are gallery walks feature the previous event held each month, from 6 pm to 10 pm.
During these hours, all the studios in the building are open to the public!
It allows guests to see studio spaces and the art available to purchase directly from the artists. Venture up and down the eight floors and through the many hallways while taking in all kinds of different artwork.
Many artists hang around in their studios during the event to mingle with the visitors and sell their work.
This summer, Pendleton added many events to their schedule, and they’ve introduced First Fridays as well! This means the first AND last Fridays of the month, they will showcase these events. Giving local artists’ a chance to share their unique work!
Visit the Pendleton Art Center on 1310 Pendleton Street to look at the artists’ displays and even discuss with the artist themselves!
